Ashley and Nick’s Tacoma Wedding
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Pardee!! What a great evening I had capturing this fun couple’s wedding!! The first time I met Ashely and Nick was during their engagement session. We had fun exploring Lake Wilderness Arboretum. It was such an honor when they asked me to capture their wedding memories as well.
They had originally planned a barn wedding, but as with so many others, covid changed their plans dramatically. The barn wedding was off and Kaison was in!! Yup a bouncing baby boy (and covid) put their wedding plans on hold until this September! They planned a modest wedding at Dystopian Brewery, a great place with a cool vibe.
We started the day in Ashley’s hotel room at the Hotel Marano in downtown Tacoma. This is where both the bride and the groom were getting ready. After I got some great portraits, we went to Wright Park for the first look and their portraits. While there, we had access to the conservatory, where we took some spectacular pictures. After Ashley and Nick did their portraits, we had lots of time to capture all of their family pictures, so that after the ceremony, Ashley and Nick could have a cocktail and spend quality time with their guests.
Their wedding was styled with beautiful blues and mauves. Ashley made her own lovely flower bouquets and centerpieces using sola wood flowers. Standing up with the couple were her sister and his brother. With a simple ceremony the couple were married and then celebrated with about 80 friends and family.
When the guests arrived they were treated to one of the largest charcuterie displays I have ever seen. Additionally, the lucky guests were served Fat Zach’s amazing pizza. Then for dessert Legendary Doughnuts were served, along with a wide variety of other yummy desserts.
After heart warming speeches for the couple, the guests danced the night away with tunes provided by Eric Garza at DJ Longhorn.
At the end of the evening, Ashley and Nick had one of my favorite exits….. Sparklers!!
Thank you Ashley and Nick for such an amazing evening!!
