Oh how I love an early spring Engagement Session, especially when the couple is so gorge!!
I was so excited to meet Katie and Nate, who get my vote for cutest couple award winners. Katie and I have been communicating for about 6 months and waiting for the perfect time to do their session. They ultimately chose September to capture their memories at Point Defiance. One reason they chose Point Defiance in September was because they are planning to get married next year at this time, and want to have their wedding pictures at the park.
We had a beautiful September day with the perfect temperature and beautiful blue skies. The day was Pacific Northwest at its best for sure. The rose garden was in full bloom and added an amazing backdrop for their session. We also walked into some wooded areas for a few different looks (and some bees).
Finally we went to the newly redone Owens beach for some beach photos. If you haven’t been for a while, you should visit the beach. It is just beautiful now, with lots of new picnic benches and big restrooms, not only a good place for a photo session, but also a great place for a summer lunch.
As we explored Point Defiance, I had the pleasure of getting to know Katie and Nate and earning details about them and their wedding plans. Katie works in nursing, and Nate works for a company that helps plan golf tournaments. We talked about how they met online, and how so many couples now have met that same way, kind of the new norm. All around it was a great day spent with great people.
