Jordan and Alex's wedding at The Pickering Barn in Issaquah, Washington, was filled with love, laughter, and personal touches. The day started bright and early at the venue, where the bride, groom, and their wedding party got ready for the big day. The getting-ready rooms at The Pickering Barn were the perfect places for the couple and their party to relax, laugh, and make memories before the big moment. With teal and gray as the colors of their wedding, all of the details felt fresh and lively, just like the sunny weather.
Jordan beamed in her halter-top wedding dress, perfect for a warm and sunny day. The couple had decided to do a first look. This decision allowed them some private, emotional moments before the ceremony. We captured their first look along one of the picturesque paths on the property, surrounded by lush greenery. From there, we strolled through the grounds for their portraits, taking advantage of the property's beautiful scenery. One of my favorite parts was photographing the wedding party under on of the beautiful weeping willow trees.
The ceremony took place inside, bringing relief from the midday heat. Officiated by Jordan's brother, it was indeed heartfelt and humor-filled. I was filled to the brim with funny anecdotes about the bride that had everybody laughing. This couple also had guest favors that included a table of dog treats for guests to take home an nod to their love for dogs, while the die-cut wooden hearts guest book added a nice rustic touch.
Guests at the reception enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Mama Stortini’s, followed by a decadent dessert spread that included a doughnut bar, a stunning cake, and mini cupcakes. Jordan and Alex wowed everyone with their well-choreographed first dance, a beautiful moment that showcased their personalities. The mother-son and father-daughter dances that followed brought tears to many eyes and were a touching highlight of the evening.
As the night drew to a close, Jordan and Alex’s guests gathered to send them off in style. With glow sticks lighting the way, the couple’s exit was a fun and colorful finale to a truly unforgettable day. It was an honor to capture their love story at The Pickering Barn, and I’m so excited for what the future holds for these two amazing people!
